Review of Wallace and Grace Take the Case

In Wallace and Grace Take the Case, owl detectives and friends, Wallace and Grace, help their rabbit friend find out if there really is a ghost in the garden.

This early reader is for children who are wanting to read books with chapters but may not be ready for the complexity of longer chapter books or middle grade fiction. My children, who are five and seven, and I read this together. The shorter chapters are a nice accompaniment to the bedtime routine. They enjoyed the full-color illustrations, as well as the fun, quirky characters. The mystery had them guessing what would happen next. The story is simple but perfect for its intended audience. This is a great book for families and newly independent readers. We plan to read Wallace and Grace and the Cupcake Caper next.

Happy reading!!
