A List of Children’s Books to Read in September

Fall is just around the corner. I love the cooler temperatures, the breathtaking colors, and the start of a new school year. What better way to usher in this new season than with a fun book list. Enjoy the below reads with your kiddos!

Happy reading!

There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Leaves! (Paperback) - Walmart ...

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you may know that the books from this series always seem to find their way to my lists. I think they are silly and fun and just the type of book to interest kids.

Duck and Goose, Find a Pumpkin

written and illustrated by Tad Hills

Duck and Goose Find a Pumpkin by Tad Hills

I bought this book for some sweet littles in my family last year, and they loved it. How precious are Duck and Goose, especially when you throw in fall fun!

An Amelia Bedelia Box Set

written by Herman Parish and illustrated by Lynne Avril

Amelia Bedelia Chapter Book 4-Book Box 4 Books – PzDeals

Yes, I included an entire box set on this month’s list. I have always enjoyed the theatrics of Amelia Bedelia, but really, I encourage you to help your child find a character he or she enjoys! Readers, of all ages, can really dig their teeth into an interesting character. This is a fantastic way to help your child meet those reading benchmarks, but more importantly, become a lifelong reader!
