What’s Five Minute Friday about?
**Do you ever find yourself wishing you could add scripture to your day? What about your child’s day? And if your anything like me, your days are already totally maxed out on time.
Then you’ve come to the right place.
This blog is for that uber busy parent who could truly benefit from a five-minute Bible lesson with your child. Yes, these lessons are literally five minutes long and posted weekly.
That’s something I can get excited about.**
Hello, Friend!
Materials:
The Bible
(Only one thing to get ready? And the crowd goes wild!)
Lesson:
Read Proverbs 18:24: “A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly.”
Let’s teach our children how to be friendly and its importance.
After you read the scripture together, ask what it looks like to be friendly. Let child brainstorm answers. Can he or she think of someone who is a friendly person? How does this person make you feel? What is this person doing that feels friendly? Can you do this too? To wrap up this lesson, have your child act out himself being friendly to someone. You can even challenge your child to really put this behavior into action in the following days. He or she can report how the interaction went.
There are many people I consider friends. I want to make sure they understand just how much I care and value their friendships.
Have fun being friendly this week, and as always, happy reading!
