What’s Five Minute Friday about?
**Do you ever find yourself wishing you could add scripture to your day? What about your child’s day? And if your anything like me, your days are already totally maxed out on time.
Then you’ve come to the right place.
This blog is for that uber-busy parent who could truly benefit from a five-minute Bible lesson with your child. Yes, these lessons are literally five minutes long and posted weekly.
That’s something I can get excited about.**

Lesson: A Light
I like to begin my lessons with prayers and praise requests. This can often give me insight into what’s going on with my students and children. After prayer, read Psalm 119:105. Feel free to ask more than prompt. Who is Thy? What Word?
Now, guide your child into a room with no light. Sit the flashlight beside his feet. What is the light doing? This is just like God’s Word. God uses His Word to speak to us, to show us our paths in life. He uses scripture to help us make the right steps, the steps that please Him.
Can your child name a time when God used scripture to help him make a good decision? Can he think of a Bible story that teaches a lesson?
I pray that this lesson is a blessing to you and your family and students.
Happy teaching, and as always, happy reading!
