What’s Five Minute Friday about?
**Do you ever find yourself wishing you could add scripture to your day? What about your child’s day? And if your anything like me, your days are already totally maxed out on time.
Then you’ve come to the right place.
This blog is for that uber-busy parent who could truly benefit from a five minute Bible lesson with your child. Yes, these lessons are literally five minutes long and posted weekly.
That’s something I can get excited about.**
Materials:
Bible
Phone/Computer with picture of the original Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh
Lesson:
After prayer, show your child the picture of the original Starry Night. Does he know what an original is? Explain that it is the very first of a work of art. Others may make copies, but there is only one original. Now, read Psalm 139:14. Does your child know that he is an original? There is no one else exactly like him? Does he know his creator is the Master Artist? We did this lesson in our AWANA group this week. We also discussed how sometimes when we want to be taller or have green eyes, etc., we are wanting to be copies of someone else, when in truth, we are the originals God purposefully created. What a treasure it is to help your child and students realize just how wonderfully made they are! I pray this lesson is a blessing to you and your family!
Happy teaching, and as always, happy reading!
