What’s Five Minute Friday about?
**Do you ever find yourself wishing you could add scripture to your day? What about your child’s day? And if your anything like me, your days are already totally maxed out on time.
Then you’ve come to the right place.
This blog is for that uber-busy parent who could truly benefit from a five minute Bible lesson with your child. Yes, these lessons are literally five minutes long and posted weekly.
That’s something I can get excited about.**
Materials:
Bible
Honey
Vinegar or Lemon
Lesson:
After prayer, read Proverbs 16:24. Your child can sample a taste of honey. Now, discuss the scripture’s meaning. How powerful words can be! Pleasant ones are sweet to the soul and even healthy to your body! You and your child may want to list examples of pleasant words, including even “thank you” and “please”. Next, have your child taste a squeeze of lemon or a smidgen of vinegar. This is a good time to ask about unpleasant words. If pleasant words are good for us, what does your child think about unpleasant words? Discuss this. You may want to list examples of these. What an interesting verse! Words can possess such power!
I pray that this lesson is a blessing to you and your family.
Happy speaking, and as always, happy reading!
