What’s Five Minute Friday about?
**Do you ever find yourself wishing you could add scripture to your day? What about your child’s day? And if your anything like me, your days are already totally maxed out on time.
Then you’ve come to the right place.
This blog is for that uber-busy parent who could truly benefit from a five minute Bible lesson with your child. Yes, these lessons are literally five minutes long and posted weekly.
That’s something I can get excited about.**
Materials:
Bible
Lesson:
After prayer, read John 15:13. Now I’m wondering if, like us, you celebrated Independence Day by going to a parade yesterday. Did your child see anyone who demonstrates this scripture? What a teachable moment we have today. Use this time to discuss the military. Use this time to discuss why we all stood and clapped while these uniformed people passed. How meaningful it is for kids to understand the background behind this etiquette. The same with the passing of an American flag. Next time, maybe they won’t have to be told to take a hat off or to stop talking. They’ll want to show these hard-working people respect on their own. Thank God for those who risk (and lose) their lives for our freedoms!
I pray that this lesson is a blessing to you and your family.
