What’s Five Minute Friday about?
**Do you ever find yourself wishing you could add scripture to your day? What about your child’s day? And if your anything like me, your days are already totally maxed out on time.
Then you’ve come to the right place.
This blog is for that uber-busy parent who could truly benefit from a five minute Bible lesson with your child. Yes, these lessons are literally five minutes long and posted weekly.
That’s something I can get excited about.**
Materials:
Bible
Lesson:
After prayer, read 1st Peter 2:2, 2nd Timothy 2:7, and 2nd Timothy 2:15. If you have another scripture about reading and studying God’s Word, share it here. What I want to discuss today is more about getting back to the basics. Have you ever (or in some time) talked to your children about what a quiet time looks like? Do they know to read in a quiet place? Do they know to have distractions, like the TV, turned off? Maybe they do, but we can all use a friendly reminder. It’s good to remember that we’re speaking to our Creator, our Father. So today’s lesson is all about showing reverence to God in our quiet times. At this time, you can even act several scenarios out. Have your child turn the TV off and put the phone or video game controller away. Ask them if they can think, study, and pray clearer. What a privilege it is to be able to study God’s Word and speak, with a direct line, to God.
I pray that this lesson is a blessing to you and your family.
Happy studying, and as always, happy reading!
