When I think of March, I tend to think “green,” and in my little, lovely part of the world, this is usually true. The coldest times of the year have come and gone, and the world around me begins to sprout new beginnings. With these fresh thoughts in mind, I have prepared a list of books for you and your children to read during March.
Happy reading!

First Notes of Spring by Jessica Kulekjian
How beautiful is that cover? This is a really fun idea. Juniper wants to welcome spring with lots of sound and rhythm. I often enjoy a beat-to-your-own-drum story, and this one is definitely that.
Achoo! Why Pollen Counts by Shennen Bersani
I am a HUGE fan of Shennen Bersani’s work. I mean, look at this illustration! Wow! I also think it is so clever to better explain to children that, though pollen can make life difficult for some, it is also super helpful to many. This is such an interesting and meaningful take on spring.
The Honeybee by Kirsten Hall
This is such a sweet and wonderful book for March, or anytime, really. This beautiful story is light and fun, with simple yet very entertaining language and illustrations.
An Easter Egg Hunt for Jesus: God Gave Us Easter to Celebrate His Life by Susan Jones
Oh, goodness, look at those forest animals! So precious. This is a very sweet book that has fun with Easter, but it also points us back to the reason: Jesus.
