2018 Held Blessings

Posted on January 4, 2019January 4, 2019 by admin

What’s Five Minute Friday about?
**Do you ever find yourself wishing you could add scripture to your day? What about your child’s day? And if your anything like me, your days are already totally maxed out on time.
Then you’ve come to the right place.
This blog is for that uber-busy parent who could truly benefit from a five minute Bible lesson with your child. Yes, these lessons are literally five minutes long and posted weekly.
That’s something I can get excited about.**

Materials:

Bible

Paper

Marker

Welcome to a brand new year! The first Five Minute Friday lesson of 2019 will be a celebration of our blessings from God in 2018 and prayers for a beautiful 2019.

After prayer, read James 1:17. Whether 2018 seemed abundant in blessings or not, we all have been blessed by God. The fact that He sent His Son to save us gives us an immediate and perfect blessing to be grateful for.

You can have your child write 2018 in big letters on paper or a board, whichever you or he prefers. Next, you can both review the events in 2018. Your child can write down how God blessed him. Maybe a new addition to the family? Maybe new friends? Maybe he has made some amazing strides in school? Take this time to reflect on God’s goodness in your lives. It would actually be a wonderful activity for teachers and students. Make sure to tie in the scripture. These blessings, these gifts are all from God.

Once completed, pray to God, thanking Him for you and your family’s gifts. You can also pray for this new year. Pray that God will shower his favor upon you and your family.

I pray that this lesson is a blessing to you and your family.

Happy reflecting, and as always, happy reading!
