Five Minute Friday – Our Refuge!

What’s Five Minute Friday about?
**Do you ever find yourself wishing you could add scripture to your day? What about your child’s day? And if your anything like me, your days are already totally maxed out on time.
Then you’ve come to the right place.
This blog is for that uber-busy parent who could truly benefit from a five minute Bible lesson with your child. Yes, these lessons are literally five minutes long and posted weekly.
That’s something I can get excited about.**

Materials:

Bible

Shaving Cream

Baking Pan

Lesson:

After prayer, read Psalm 46:1. Discuss the meaning of a refuge. How amazing it is to know that God is our refuge and strength! He’s help in troubling times! Now, for the messy part. Drop a heaping pile of shaving cream onto a baking sheet. Read the verse again, and have your child create art that reminds him of the scripture’s meaning. You may see a fort, strong arms, or a “t” for trouble. The ideas are endless. What a fun way to solidify an understanding of God’s Word.

I pray that this lesson is a blessing to you and your family.

Happy playing, and as always, happy reading,

~Amberly
