Five Minute Friday – Making the Most

What’s Five Minute Friday about?
**Do you ever find yourself wishing you could add scripture to your day? What about your child’s day? And if your anything like me, your days are already totally maxed out on time.
Then you’ve come to the right place.
This blog is for that uber-busy parent who could truly benefit from a five minute Bible lesson with your child. Yes, these lessons are literally five minutes long and posted weekly.
That’s something I can get excited about.**

Materials:

Bible

Deck of Cards

Lesson:

After prayer, read Romans 12:9. This verse is about having a genuine love for one another, hating evil, and clinging to what is good. When I think about the time I’ve spent with my family over the last few weeks, genuine love definitely comes to mind. Though we are in a storm right now, we do have an opportunity to cling to what is good. After reading the scripture together, bust out a deck of cards. Play Goldfish, or War, or another card game that makes you giggle, that helps you genuinely love one another and cling to what is good.

I pray that this five-minute lesson adds rich scripture to your life and is a blessing to your family.

Happy playing, and as always, happy reading,

~Amberly Clowe

* A note I must add: If you are on the front lines of this virus, and you’re unable to spend these minutes with your family, thank you. Thank you for sacrificing for my family and others.

Thank you for helping.
